The motor wagon carried in the rear com-partment an iron cable reel capable of holding 1500 ft. of flexible cable, which wasused to conect the motor and transformer wagons by means of a special type ofplug which was inserted in the receptacles and rotated 90 deg. to insure proper con-tact. This cable when alive was supported from the ground every 15 or 20 ft. bywooden tripods.
