Cupak Gerantang Traditional Theatre is one of the folklore in Lombok, West Nusa Tenggara. It is very popular in the society as a light entertainment that is performed and staged in special events. The original manuscript was written on papyrus with Jejawan letters and the Sasak language. The content derived from a story that was told in a song, and then improved as a written story that was composed in a traditional theatre to be better by the public. The story artistically dramatizes a patriotic hero that is sometimes interspersed with humor.
