Jean-Claude Weill (born 1941), French immunologist, at a 'Speed Science' event organised to allow 100 young people to meet a range of eminent French scientists. Weill is a professor at Paris Descartes University and carries out research there and at the Necker Faculty of Medicine. His research has been on the B cells (B lymphocytes) of the immune system. In 1997, he jointly received the Grand Prix Jean-Pierre Lecoq. He was elected a member of the French Academy of Sciences in 2011.
