Impressive stratovolcano Ngauruhoe is the youngest of the active volcanos in Tongariro National Park. Its crater rim is 2291 meter high. Upper Tama Lake under this perfect volcano cone is an explosion crater at 1440 Meter. Der2291 Meter hohe Stratovulkan Ngauruhoe ist der jüngste der drei aktiven Vulkane im Tongariro-Nationalpark in Neuseeland. Unter diesem perfekten Vulkankegel liegt ein mit Wasser gefüllter Explosionskrater in einer Höhe von 1440 Metern, der obere Tama-See.
