The time is coming, however, when ourart-workmen will be peers of any anywhere. All they need is the opportunityto see and study the right models. From the London Exhibition of 1S51 grew INDUSTRIAL ART. 1S9 up the South Kensington Museum and the industrial-art revival in England,and we are more advanced to-day than England was then. Therefore, taking. In no other branch of industry was this more noticeablethan in the ceramics. The very choice exhibit of the Messrs. Daniell alonewas evidence ot tiiis. Here were to be seen the very finest productions of thepotters skill—original desi<jns showing education in the best schools, cleverreproductions of famous fabriqiics, copies of rare antiques, and examples of thelatest discoveries in the art.
