Playa Artola, Cabopino, Andalucia, Spain
The beautiful sandy beach known as Playa Artola is adjacent to the better known beach at Cabopino on the Spanish Costa del Sol. This beach andmost of the dunes behind it are a "clothing optional" area but is well used by both naturists and fully dressed locals and holiday makers for walking and bathing. In addition the dunes behind the beach are a nature reserve and contain many rare plants and interesting lizards, beetles and birds. Although in the winter, when this photograph was taken, the Costa del Sol well deserves its previous name of Costa Levante (Windy Coast) the climate is still pleasantly warm and temperatures around 20C are frequently experienced during the afternoons.
