Major General Raymond G. Davis, commanding general of the Third Marine Division during the Vietnam War, fires the "Georgia Fireball," a 175mm artillery piece, for the first time during a ceremony at the Rockpile on March 24, 1969. The gun was recently acquired by his command and was named after the general's home state. This photograph was taken by Cpl Pat Schackmann.
