The small fishing village and tiny port of Burano, on an island in the Venetian Lagoon, some 7 km from Venice in northern Italy. Burano is very popular for its coloured fishermen’s houses, painted in vivid pastels, alongside the inlet canals and side streets. It is also popular for its art of lace making such as linen and clothes. Also, its eateries, serving seafood directly from the surrounding lagoon.
