Lt. Col. David Iverson (pilot), and Capt. Tim Tendall, 492nd Fighter Squadron taxi an F-15E Strike Eagle to a parking spot at Kelly Field, Lackland Air Force Base, Texas on Jan 11, 2010. They just completed a hour nonstop flight from Royal Air Force Lakenheath, England which included Col. Iverson's passage through the 4,000 flight hour mark during the journey over the Atlantic Ocean. The transatlantic flight was supported by seven in-flight refuelings; five from Boeing KC-135 Stratotankers based in Europe and United States. The exact moment he passed the milestone was while connected to a Boeing KC-135 tanker. The Boeing C-130 AMP hanger can be seen on the right.
