Norfolk Island Cemetery thought to have been established in the 1820s. Gravestones dating from 1792, moved from no longer existing burial sites around the island, are found here. Inscriptions reveal the hardships endured in the colonial era. Many graves are those of descendants of the Bounty mutineers who moved to Norfolk from Pitcairn in 1856.
