Dr. Jan Six this jacket as Argan (Moliere, 'Malade Imaginaire') to the Casinobal that at Keizersgracht 464 was held. He wore this 18th century linnenbatisten nightcap (BK-1978- ..). See photo of Six, Six Collection Amsterdam, inv. ?. The jacket was owned by Six's brother, Bosch Reitz, who was li in New York at that time. He writes the following: "The Century Association / 7 West forty-third street / New York March 25, 1925 / Value Jan, that you chamberlouk the gecoste ball carries I find very best, the idea is very happy and will definitely success have, had I known that as the supposed ill went I would have told you that I have a day or nightcap chamber cap, wore the head cover that was set for the wig, floral printed cotton.
