The siege-train having arrived, the Commander-in-Chief wentto the Alumbagh on 1st March, and on the 2nd the Dilkhushawas seized—a gun being captured from the enemy after askirmish. The Dilkhusha now formed our advanced post on the right,while the Mahomed Bagh was on our left. Heavy guns wereplaced at both these positions. Additional troops arrived during the two following days, andBrigadier-General Franks, , joined on 5th March, havingtraversed a distance of 150 miles.
