A Kashmiri shia mourner beat his chest during the Muharram on Thursday imposed strict restrictions in Hasanabad area of Srinagar to ban Shia Muslims from taking part in Muharram procession. Meanwhile the Jammu and Kashmir police allegedly resorted to tear gas shelling on mourners who tried to carry out religious procession in remembrance of Imam Hussain, the grandson of Prophet Muhammad on the occasion of seventh Muharram.
