Half a Dozen. Six reddish and mauve sea urchin shells rest on weathered wood pieces worn by the sea, most probably remnants of sunken boats. I've always been impressed with nature's intriguing approach to life and death, and seashells are a stunning example. Sea urchins present a wide variety of size, texture and color, once they pass away. No wonder that I collect and use them to create temporary compositions on various surfaces, and then take pictures extending their virtual life span.
