Police Action Indonesia. Fort de Kock. In the early morning of December 22, 1948, Dutch troops moved along the road of Padang Pandjang towards Fort de Kock. At a quarter to eight, the first armored cars entered the Republican capital of Sumatra. Apart from roadblocks, virtually no resistance was encountered during this advance. By means of Radio Padang's sound car, the people of Fort de Kock were urged to resume work normally.
