GREAT LAKES, Ill. (April 14, 2017) Adm. Harry B. Harris, commander of U. S. Pacific Command, congratulates recruits after a capping ceremony next to the Navy’s largest training simulator, USS Trayer (BST 21), at Recruit Training Command. A capping ceremony is when recruits officially become Sailors by donning their Navy ball caps after successfully completing Battle Stations aboard Trayer. Harris was also the reviewing officer for the weekly pass-in-review graduation.
