We ascertainedthe approximate hour and were waiting on the pier before itcame in, to make sure of being in time. Launches from Rewaand other places were already there waiting, when at last itappeared and made its way among them. As it did not lookvery clean, and it was exposed to the sun, which was alreadyvery hot, we did not feel inclined to get on board sooner thanwas necessary, so after seeing our luggage put on, we stoodwaiting on the pier.
