Duffy of 58611th St. died in France on December21, of infectious grippe. He becamea member of Batt. B, 105th F. A., for-merly the Second F. A., in April, 1916,and served with it for seven monthson the Texas border. He was calledinto service again with his regimentshortly after war was declared inApril. 1917, and after spending somemonths at Fort Niagara, N. Y., andSpartanburg, S. C, sailed for Francelast June. Pvt. Duffy was employedin the Brooklyn office of the Depart-. ment of Health for eight years. Hewas a member of the Homecrest Ath-letic Club and the Van Sicklen Ath-letic Club, and for three years wassecretary and manager of the footballteam ot the latter organization. Hewas born in Brooklyn on August , and attended Public Schools 8and 100. He was a grandson of thelate James A. Duffy, who for thirty-three years was a captain in the Courtof Sessions, Kings County, and whoserved as captain under Maj. Spinoela in the Civil War. Heis survived by his mother, Marv; abrother, Clarence A. Duffy, V. S. N.,and a , Mrs. Grace D. Kearney. lit. Artliur Edward Graiibcrg. Lt. Arthur Edward Granberg of 349Lenox road, who served in Francewitli Batt. C of the 47th C. A. diedof in France on Novem-ber 1. His military career began withthe 13th Coast Defense Command inBrooklyn, where he rose to the non-commissioned rank of electrical ser-geant. He was mustered into Federalservice with his regime
