For quick scouring a higherheat is necessary, but such a method is not to be recom-mended, as it only saves a little time at the expense of the feel and lus-tre of the wool. In wool scouring it is well toremember that the lower the temperature at which the scouringbath can be used, consistent with thorough and efficientcleansing, the better for the lustre and feel of the yarn. 14 THE COLOUE PRINTING OF CARPET
