The area of Bryggen is a quay in Bergen, Norway dating back to the 11th century. It consists of 61 wooden buildings and since 1979, has been on the UNESCO list for World Cultural Heritage sites. Today, it houses a number of museums, shops, pubs, restaurants and souvenir outlets.
