Dozens of dog lovers converged on Old Palace Yard in Westminster to protest against breed specific legislation (BSL) where certain breeds of dogs can be destroyed regardless of their behaviour. In some cases, measurements alone can determine whether dogs of a specific breed live or die. The campaigners state that it is owners who are responsible for the deeds of their dogs, whose temperaments are determined by their upbringing.
