The Thinker Le Penseur sculpture in the Rodin Museum gardens Paris France 1902 Originally named The Poet Auguste Rodin's famous sculpture depicts the poet Dante Alighieri deep in contemplation of his Divine Comedy It was first presented to the public in 1904 and in 1906 was sited in front of the Pantheon in Paris In 1922 the piece was moved to the Hotel Biron which was converted into a Rodin Museum
