A heavy, German double-barrelled percussion carbine, A. Huhnstock in Hanover, circa 1780. Side-by-side barrels (sanded) with seven-groove rifled bores in 16 mm calibre. Dovetailed sights. Converted locks with remnants of colour case-hardening, on the lockplates inscribed " à Hannover". Slightly carved walnut full stock with horn nose. Butt with patchbox, openwork brass furniture.
