The ventral marginal cartilage is flat andslightly expanded distally, so that it more or less overlaps the axial cartilage,to which it is united. Its distal end is truncate. I. Ventral terminal cartilage (figs. 5 A, B, G) As in R. rhizacanthus, the ventral terminal is J-shaped, but its distal end isnot so strongly developed.
