A Provincial Roman bronze votive top piece from a consecration, with name inscription, 2nd - 3rd century Top piece with an upright "tabula ansata", crowned with a ring and supported by the tail fins of two dolphins. Spirals on each side between the body of the dolphin and the edge of the tabula. Beneath the nose of the dolphin a rectangular socket with holes to attach the top piece. The tabula inscribed with two names (Zosimos, Andronos) and a consecration formula (Anethika) in Greek. Beautiful green patina, height 22 cm.
