Brandtner at the Northern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Fernley, Nev., Jan. 18, 2017. Retired Marine Corps Lt. Gen. Brandtner is one of two Marines to be awarded two Navy Crosses for his actions during the Vietnam War.
