Geghard Monastery at night. Located in the Kotayk province of Armenia, this monastery was founded in the 4th century, with the main chapel built in 1215. It is a Christian site, part of the Armenian Apostolic Church. Partially carved out of a mountain, in 2000 it was listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. In the night sky over the monastery is a bright type of meteor known as a fireball.
