The Turkish forces have taken advantage of the media concentrating on Eastern GHouta and largely ignoring what is happening in the Kurdish area of northern Syria, where up to a million civilians are coming under attack. Turkish forces are augmented by hard line Islamic extremists from the Free Syrian Army, many of whom fought with ISIS and al-Qaeda and are determined to have revenge on the PKK Kurdish forces which were largely responsible for their defeat.
