There are six churches in the village—the First* Congrega-tional, the parent church; St. Johns (Episcopal); the Meth-odist Episcopal; St. Francis Xavier (Roman Catholic); AllSaints Memorial (Episcopal) ; and the Advent is a Baptist church at Northville, a Methodist Episcopalchurch at Gaylordsville, and the old Quaker Meeting-house atLanesville. Boardman and Merryall have each a chapel, inwhich Sunday schools and religious meetings are held Sabbath school is conducted in Chestnut Land District.
