Berggrenska gården var en av de få som stod kvar efter Gävle brand uppfördes för köpmannen och redaren Anders Berggren, efter ritningar 1813 av stadsbyggmästaren Wahrberg.År 1891 inköptes Berggrenska gården för Borgareskolans rä stannade i gården till 1915, då den flyttade till Militärskolans byggnad vid Berggrenska gården har därefter en hushållslinje av Borgarskolan,Kommunala Vuxenskolan, Damfrisörskeskola och Läromedelscentralenhaft sin hemvist i olika perioder.
