Eastern Airways civil passenger Jetstream 41 aircraft on crew transfer operations for the RAF. SCO 9704.

The British Aerospace Jetstream 41 is a stretched version of the Jetstream 31/32 usually configured with 29 or 30 passenger seats. Its design added 16ft to the length of the fuselage, necessitated a revised wing design, and powerful Garrett 331-14 engines generating 1,500 SHP. Some of the engines have been modified (several of them by CFM) to 1,650 SHP. Other improvements over its 31/32 predecessor include updated flight deck and a higher stance as the wing is mounted below the fuselage (no spar running across the center aisle). The 41 was certified for operation in 1993 and 100 aircraft were produced. Its main competitors are the Saab 340 and Embraer Brasilia.
