To mark the conclusion of their college life at Illinois, the graduates then formed in acircle in front of the library, and with tear dimmed eyes sang By thy rivers gently flowing,Illinois, Illinois. When the last words of the chorus had been completed the circle wasbroken up. Each graduate was claimed by his friends. Another chapter in the Universityshistory had been written. L.
