A Roman legionary's helmet of Montefortino/Buggenum type, 1st century BC - 1st century AD Bronze with greenish-brownish patina. One-piece semicircular skull, spin-formed, chased and with typical mushroom-shaped terminal at top. The rim slightly flared at the front and sides, terminating in a short neck guard at back. On the sides and neck guard one rivet hole, the original hinge on the right remaining. The neck guard struck with two maker's marks. Height cm, weight 876 g.
