Giant Western red cedar by a boardwalk, Pacific Rim National Park, Tofino, British Columbia

The north temperate rain forest of the Pacific Northwest Coast is untamed, biodiverse, lush and green and in many areas pathless and impenetrable with few or no roads and few paths. In the Pacific Rim National Park in the region of Tofino - Ucluelet, British Columbia, boardwalks have been built to give access to the forest ecosystem. This photo was taken from the boardwalk on Rainforest Trail B.
