Army Sgt. Deven M. Scelfo, Company D, 1st battalion 171st General Support Aviation Battalion, New Jersey Army National Guard, and his wife walk across the flight line at the Army Aviation Support Facility at Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst, , Jan. 3, 2019. The 171st is a medical evacuation company that flies UH-60L Black Hawk helicopters equipped with hoists and configured to carry stretchers in the cabin area. The 171st is deploying to Afghanistan to provide medical evacuation support to United States and Allied forces in support of Operation Freedom’s Sentinel.
