Gdansk, Poland 1st September 2012 73rd anniversary of World War II beginning celebrations on Westerplatte Peninsula in Gdansk. Battle of Westerplatte was the first clash between Polish and German forces during the Invasion of Poland and thus the first battle of the European theater of World War II. Mister of Defence Tomasz Siemoniak (L) takes part in the ceremony.
