Jerusalem. 8th September, 2014. A boy who waits for the arrival of the body of Muhammad Abd al-Majid Sunuqrut. On his shirt he has a poster of the "shahid" or martyr. A funeral was held for sixteen-year-old Muhammad Abd al-Majid Sunuqrut, a Palestinian teenager who had been shot a week ago by Israeli forces. Muhammad was shot, allegedly, in the head by a rubber coated steel bullet by Israeli forces in his village in Eastern Jerusalem, in Al Wadi Joz. Israeli forces claimed they shot the teenager in the leg. Riots began on Sunday, after Palestinians learned he had died early that morning.

Clashes among Palestinian youth and Israeli forces continued all over Eastern Jerusalem after Muhammad's funeral, into the late evening hours. (Photo by Anna Ferensowicz / Pacific Press)
