Alan Schrader, commanding officer, Naval Base Kitsap (NBK), introduces himself and speaks to those in attendance during a two day Joint Agency Regional Coordination Team working session at NBK Bremerton. The Northwest Regional Coordination Team brings DoD planners and stakeholders together to discuss long-term compatibility of air, land and sea spaces with other federal, state and local partner agencies. The event's working sessions included discussions on the military in the Northwest, state agencies' roles and responsibilities, transportation, renewable energy, partnerships, and mutually beneficial solutions to military mission changes and population growth. More than 50 agency leaders and representatives attended the event at Naval Base Kitsap-Bremerton, March 14-15.
