Not being so fortunate as to possess a British specimen ofthis very rare and curious plant, I have been forced to makethe drawing for the plate from some of a fine series which 1 owe 162036 to the kindness of M. Lenormand, who procured them at Gran-ville, on the French coast, where Codiuni Bursa is station on the Sussex coast, quoted from Pallas, is not pro-lific in modern times, nor have I ever seen any British specimenexcept a small one obtained by Mrs. Griffiths, in one has met with this plant near Belfast but Mr. Templeton,and I have not seen his specimens.
