The Grand American Battery in the Second Allied Seige line during the Battle of Yorktown. This battery, between the former British redoubts 9 and 10 (captured in a surprise night attack on 14th October 1781), was erected within 300m of the final British defenses in Yorktown. This view was taken looking east.
