The company Bandai CO. created a replica of the "Gundam" anime metaseries' hero, in Shiokaze park, on the artificial island of Obaida, in Tokyo in Japan. This 18-metre high lively statue, composed of plastic and Fiberglas, will be used for Tokyo's candidacy to host the 2016 Summer Olympics, for the "Green Tokyo" Plan and for the 30th anniversary of the robot.
