Every student of literature has read Longfellowsbeautiful poem, ^ Evangeline, and generations yetunborn will read and re-read it with increasing inter-est as the years go by. Indeed, while lovers love andhearts are true, the story of Evangeline will neverlose its charm. With its historic setting, it will always enlist oursympathies and command our admiration for theloyalty, simplicity and self-sacrifice of these home-loving Acadian peasants.
