Culture.âSow seed in deep, rich, loamy soil, plow soil well and cover the autumn be- fore sowing with a heavy coat of well rotten manure, level the ground as early in the spring as possible. Sow thinly in drills about one- quarter of an inch deep and one foot apart, pre^'-s down with back of spade or very light roller; thin plants from three to four inches apart, work well and keep free from weeds; do not stir soil too deeply.
