The planer differs from thesmaller sizes in that it has a double gear reduction from thesecond-belt drive shaft to the table rack. The compact construction of the machine will be apparentby reference to the illustration. The cross-rail is heavy anddeep and has extra ribbing at the back to give sufficientstiffness. The table is braced with ribs at frequent intervals to guard against possibility of springing. The table T-slotfor shipper dogs extends the full length of the table.
