There are two settlements recorded in the archaeological record for the northern side of Glen Coiltie, Eskart and another which is un-named but considerably larger (and - I am guessing - older!) I can see the most complete of the "newer" buildings from our house given my love of old things and strange connection to all that is clearances related I decided to go and find some of it! This is the view out of one of the more recent buildings I would guess - the floor plan is L shaped rather than a single rectangle. A tree growing out the back corner suggests that it has been a ruin for a very long time though! I plan to investigate up here a lot more now I have worked out where it is and how to get there!
