In addition to all this, graduates musthave completed the required course of study in \oice. Piano, Theory, History ofMusic, German, Pedagogy and Psychology. Theory of Music includes Harmony,Counterpoint to Fugue writing, and Instrumentation to the extent of being ableto arrange music for instruments of the modern orchestra, as we contend thatevery supervisor should be able to do this in order to afford pupils who play suchinstruments as violin, cornet, flute, etc., an opportunity to accompany the voicesas well as to improve themselves. 224. We are continually receiving letters of inquiry for good supervisors, and w:advise Normal graduates and experienced teachers to take up this work providecthey are musically inclined. There is a great demand for Supervisors of Musicand Drawing, the two working well together. Additional information can be had regarding this course by correspondingwith the Director. Preparatory Course. For all students who may elect a Regular Course and are not prepared tcenter the Junior year, a Preparatory Course is provided which includes suchstudies as are necessary to prepare them for the Regular Course. This coursecan be taken only in class of two at a reduced rate, or at regular rates as thestudent may elect. Juvenile Course. This course is for beginners under fourteen years of age who may desire tcstudy either piano or violin. There will be three pupils in a class and the periodis divided between them.
