Upon arrival overseas. Lieu-tenant Sebring v^ras ordered to the artil-lery school at Samur for further instruc-tion, and then assigned to an aero squad-ron. On September 4, 1918, while en-gaged in combat with a German plane, hewas shot three times, dying instantly. Hewas unmarried. Lieutenant Seibel ^vas born in Findlay,Ohio, on October 10, 1888. He waseducated in the public schools of thatcity, graduating from high school in then entered business with Vittum-Seibel Company, a securities firm of Chi-cago, of which he was a member. Hew^as admitted to the Second OfficersTraining Camp at Fort Sheridan and wascommissioned upon completion of thecourse. In January, 1918, he sailed forFrance and, upon arrival overseas, wasordered to the Infantry Specialists Schoolat Langres, for further instruction. Whenhis schooling period wras finished. Lieu-tenant Seibel was assigned to the 369thInfantry, which was operating with theFrench Fo
