First Afternoon 32— Lotis Sixteenth Gold Snuffbox Oval shape, with hinged lid. Beautifully wrought and chased ingold of three tints. The top of lid is ornamented with a panel oftrophies and borders of leaf designs. The sides harmonize and thebottom has a panel of guiUoche, which is surrounded by a borderof leaf designs wrought in relief. Length, 3/i inches. 33— Gold Snuffbox Style of Louis Seize. Oblong shape, with hinged double lid. Al-most the entire outer surface is covered with a translucent darkblue enamel, over a rayed and yuiHoche ground. The double lidis edged with a border of half pearls anil in one end of the box is amusical box. h. Length, 3 *34—Historical Gold and Box Presented by the City of London to Sir Robert Calder, First Cap-tain of the Fleet under the command of Admiral Sir John Jervis,.May 19, 1797, a similar box being presented at the same time toNelson, commodore, afterward. Lord Nelson. The box is of ovalshape with hinged lid and artistically w rough I in the style of LouisSeize. The lid is edged with a double border of oak and laurelleaves, which frames an enamel painting of the naval battle betweenthe English and Spanish fleets off Cape St. Vincent, February14, 1797.
