Cape Gloucester Wounded. Through the open bow doors wounded invaded are brought aboard a Coast Guard manned LST (Landing Ship, Tanks) in a heavy down-pour of rain at Cape Gloucester, New Britain. Coast Guardsmen are helping the stretcher bearers. A short time before mechanized equipment rolled out these doors. A Coast Guard and Navy manned LSTs took part in the invasion.
