Village of Fiskardo, Kefalonia. Picturesque view of Fiskardo harbour with the Ithaka and Lefkada ferry ‘Captain Aristidis’ approaching the harbour. The busy fishing and ferry port of Fiskardo is a favoured tourist destination and popular yachting venue. Due to the geology of the area, Fiskardo escaped the devastation experienced by the rest of the island in the 1953 earthquake. The village is said to retain much of its original Venetian architecture.
